Brock Performance - The Science of achieving the feel of natural grass on an artificial surface |
||
A playing surface that is too stiff forces the body to compensate to reduce the high degree of energy restitution of the surface and to maintain a steady line of sight. This compensation creates fatigue. Likewise a surface that is too soft with too little energy restitution drains energy from the body increasing fatigue. International biomechanical testing has shown that in favourable weather conditions, a high quality, well-maintained natural grass sports surface provides optimal stiffness and minimal fatigue for the running athlete and a significant degree of safety under severe impacts. The benefits of a surface with this behavior are important not only for the professional athlete, but for the developing bodies of youngsters. The performance and safety properties of a natural grass surface are mimicked by the Performance Base F Series system through its’ Advanced Dynamic Response™ |
