A complete base system for the designer and builder

The stabilisation, thermal insulation and drainage properties of our base systems may also allow for simplified base construction meaning less excavation, material removal, stone installation, transportation and heavy equipment hours. This all equals less CO2 and damage to the natural environment.

 

Drainage

The Brock F Series is both a vertical and lateral drainage system. The vertical permeability of the F Series is greater than the turf itself, ensuring a dry pitch surface and maximum carpet stability. Our Free Flow™ drainage channels provide a fully functional horizontal drainage system for sloped pitch profiles.

 

 

 

Dimensional Stability

The F Series provides superior dimensional stability through temperature variations, wet, dry and frozen conditions. Our unique thermal expansion joint system ensures stability during and following installation. The F Series will not displace turf, buckle from heat or moisture, or form gaps in cold or dry conditions. No other manufactured system on the market is free from any of these issues.

 

 

Stabilisation

The design of the F Series base system creates an ideal surface for maximum sports performance with a stiffer middle section to spread loads by 100%. This load spreading capacity helps to stabilise the aggregate or sand sub base and protect the sub grade soil from deformation during installation, maintenance and athletic play.

Thermal Insulation

With a low thermal conductivity value, the F Series acts as an insulation layer to protect against surface deformation caused by sub base frost heave. The chart below shows the insulation value of the F Series as compared to stone and sand.The insulation value of Brock can allow for simplified base construction in cold climates whilst still providing protection against frost heave.
